If you were to "proclaim by word and example the Good News of God in Christ," in your neighborhood, work, or church where would it be and why? What is stopping you from doing it now?
By Kimi Chambers
During my volunteer work around Lawton, I have opportunities to proclaim the word of God to people of various ages, backgrounds, and economic surroundings. In God's eyes, those things make no difference; we are ALL His children, and His love for us is the most pure of any.
I hope, by example, that my personal relationship shows through my actions and attitudes, especially when I have the opportunity to speak not only one-on-one to others, but also when I speak to a large group. If given an opening, I try to look for ways of giving God the glory, and letting others know that it is because of His love, that, no matter what the circumstances, He is in control.
2 Timothy 4:2 says, "Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke, and encourage-with great patience and careful instruction."
My prayers always include that God give me the words to use that come straight from him.
